ICT Officer (PS 5)

Scope of Services:

Information System (IS)

  • Design a website for the Project Co-ordination and Management Unit.
  • Draft designs for information and communication technology.
  • Facilitate the drafting of information and communication technology policies.
  • Identify information technological solutions for institutional information and communication technology requirements (Requirement Analysis, System Analysis).
  • Perform preliminary activities related to designing information technological solutions (System Designing).
  • Conduct technical evaluations relevant to the field.
  • Implement and evaluate Information and Communication Technology projects.
  • Generate information system reports for management requirements (MIS reports).
  • Coordinate and maintain links with internal/external institutions for activities related to the specialized field.

Information Technology (IT)

  • Develop, test, implement, and manage software for identified requirements (Programming/ Development, Testing, Implementation, and Maintenance).
  • Develop, administer, and maintain databases (Database Administration).
  • Design, update, and maintain official websites and perform key duties in this regard.
  • Update software to cater to user requirements.
  • Implement necessary actions for the safety of software and data.
  • Coordinate and maintain links with internal/external institutions for activities related to the specialized field.

Computer Networks/Security

  • Develop, administer, and maintain computer networks (Network Administration).
  • Identify errors in computer hardware/network hardware and take action to rectify them.
  • Administer internet/e-mail facilities.
  • Perform activities related to computer networking, network security administration, and key duties in this regard.
  • Coordinate and maintain links with internal/external institutions for activities related to the specialized field.
  • Perform any other tasks designated by the Project Director and Deputy Project Director arising in the course of business.

Reporting Mechanism:

The ICT Officer shall report to the Project Director on the status of the assignment on a regular basis.
